We believe that to throw an authentic Oktoberfest experience you must include beer all the way from the Munich beer halls. That is why we import only the best German and surrounding district beers, including Hofbräu, Löwenbräu, Paulaner Pilsner, Franziskaner, Hacker-Pschorr and Spaten. There might even be a few local brews for you to try.
If wine and cocktails are your preferred poison, you can work your way through the wine list and finish the day off with a schnapps.
Whether you’re looking for a schweineschnitzel or wienerschnitzel, roast chicken, bratwurst with sauerkraut or soft and salty pretzel, you will find it at the Yarra Valley Oktoberfest.
Whether you like the chilled vibe of a beer garden or the large beer hall experience, the Yarra Valley Oktoberfest has a drinking nook just for you. Start the day toe tapping to the festive sounds of the house oompah band, and get ready for the disco with a killer DJ, bongo drummer and sax to take the party higher.
And don’t forget to dress in your finest dirndl and lederhosen. You never know, you might take home best dressed. There’s also stein holding and pretzel eating competitions, with glory and prizes bestowed on the victor. Start training, competitions are taken seriously.
The event is run by Mel and her brother Brent. This is a passion project for us, to create something brilliant that we’re proud of, and the community can enjoy without having to leave their neighbourhood.
The event does not exist to make money. Every decision we make is simple: better for the patrons or better for the environment, then we’re doing it.
Our stein washing system significantly reduces single use plastics, all wine and water cups are biodegradable and we’re working with our vendors to serve compostable food packaging only. Oh, and your ticket booking fee contributes towards meals for disadvantaged school children. You legend!
