A festival by locals, for locals.

“I’m never going to go to Oktoberfest, I’ve got three kids and a mortgage”.

What started as banter with friends, sparked an idea. To bring the spirit of Oktoberfest to Lilydale, to make accessible for those who may never get a chance to witness the great Munich beer halls. After travelling the globe, and hitch hiking across Europe to get to Munich for a second Oktoberfest, I knew the fun, and joy that the festival brings, and wanted to share this with my home community.

Bringing some finely tuned hospitality and business management expertise, I teamed up with my brother Brenton and together we are thrilled to bring Yarra Valley Oktoberfest to you each year, with the help and support of our family and friends.

And there you have it. Three years later Yarra Valley Oktoberfest has grown to an annual must attend event for 1,700+ festival goers from all over Victoria.
